Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting at Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
According to details available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 am. The Unified HQ is the top command of security and intelligence agencies in J&K.
Sources said that the LG will review the overall security situation in the Union Territory. The meeting is likely to focus on winter preparedness, recent escalation at the Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan, and other key issues.
Officials told KNO that the Lieutenant Governor will be briefed about the current situation along the LoC, international borders, and internal security scenario in J&K.

The meeting will be attended by Army’s Northern Commander Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Duloo, along with heads of paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.
It is important to mention that LG Sinha had last chaired a UHQ meeting in May this year after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor.’ At that time, he directed security agencies to carry out “precise, intelligence-led operations” to neutralize terrorists and dismantle their support structures.
