Traffic Police Advisory J&K – 08 September 2025

Updated: September 8, 2025 51 Views

The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) continues to remain closed for vehicular traffic. The closure is due to a road blockage between Jakheni (Udhampur) and Bali Nallah. As a result, no vehicle movement shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Chenani, Patnitop, Doda, Ramban, Banihal, Srinagar and vice versa. However, commuters traveling within Katra, Reasi, and Udhampur town areas are requested to carry valid photo ID cards so that their local movement can be facilitated smoothly. Travelers are advised to check the status of the road through the official Twitter handle, Facebook page, or Traffic Control Units before starting their journey.
